[Video Recap] NYC Sprite Step Off 2010
By NY Fab • February 1st, 2010
Thousands of greeks, non-greeks, celebs, and all those inbetween headed down to Roseland Ballroom this weekend for the largest national step show in history, the 2010 Sprite Step Off. If you are not familiar with the Sprite Step Off, with over 30 events in some of the largest U.S. cities, total prizes are valued at over $1.5 million! (KPhi neos…yall need to enter LOL).
With headliners Luda & Wale, this year’s NYC show was deemed historic due to the impressive marketing techniques that Sprite implemented for this year’s regional rounds. Videos below include performances by Luda, Wale, and several PHC organizations strolling between performances.
This year’s teams included: DST (Oo-oop my sawrahs!), AKA, APhiA, KAPsi, and Sigma. For such a well-funded event, I expected each of the divine nine organizations to be represented, but as a greek myself, I know how that goes… *shrugs*
AKA & KAPsi ended up taking first place, each earning $21,600 and an invitation to the championship in Atlanta. (so congrats to the “pretty people”)
